 Wind and Solar Solutions
Texans have been harnessing wind power since the first settlers moved here. In the 1970's, we started capturing power from the sun. Technological advances in efficiency - photovoltaic (PV) panels, better turbines, federal tax credits, local rebate programs, and a larger installed base have all contributed to driving down prices. Today off-the-grid solutions are more affordable than ever. The federal tax credit is ensured through 2016. While power companies seek to expand capacity, prices continue to rise. Preservation Texas provides alternative energy solutions that meet our clients' needs. We offer professional solutions and installation utilizing proven, cost effective technologies.

 Wind Turbines
In
reality, wind energy is a converted form of solar energy. Heat generated from solar radiation creates
wind. With a wind turbine, that kinetic
energy is captured and converted to electricity.
At
Preservation Texas we are really excited about the reality of wind turbines for
individual homeowners. Think small,
quiet, and efficient. A small wind
turbine system is typically less than six feet in diameter. There are over 200 designs on the market,
from the traditional three bladed version to a three foot high vertical model.
As costs
of wind turbines have fallen, efficiencies have increased. New models can generate electricity with as
little as a 2 MPH wind.
Preservation
Texas works with a number of
manufacturers, so we can match you with a design that blends in aesthetically
and meets your energy goals. We have a
licensed, master electrician on staff to ensure your design is properly
installed.
